Editorial

A word from the author

This book was born of a journey. Through losses and moves between Kinshasa, Ohio and Virginia, I came to understand that happiness does not come solely from relationships, degrees or outside recognition. It begins within.

I wrote it for you, woman, who sometimes forget how much light you carry. For you, young girl, still searching for your voice. For you, mother, sister, wife, professional — you who give so much and deserve to receive peace.

Preface

The wedding and the wine

Inspired by the wedding at Cana, Mary becomes the symbol of the woman attentive to others’ needs — the one who knows when the wine is running out, and dares to say so.

Chapter IV

Discovering yourself: the most courageous act

Before loving the world, you must walk through the silence within. There, in prayer and truth, a woman meets the one she truly is.

Chapter XI

What women almost never say

Silent pains, inner loneliness, wounds hidden behind smiles — this book names what so many women carry without words.

Conclusion

Rise up

Every woman has a light, a mission, an immense worth. The world needs women aware of their dignity.
